Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She has the record of being awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just six years old. At first, she competed in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she was crowned champion. In her 1972 first international meet in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she won awarded the All-around Junior Champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver medal. In 1976, she became the world's first woman who used a double backwards salto in order to take off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry in her teens performing as the figure skating duo of her twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career as figure skater performing with her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
